March is always a busy and exciting time here at Social Entrepreneurs Ireland!

We are currently open for applications and encouraging people across the country with an idea to solve a social problem to apply to our Ideas Academy or Impact Programme.

We’re looking for people with courage, insight and a passion for creating positive change. Does this sound like you or someone you know? We know that incredible things happen when we support each other to take action and SEI is here to support you on your journey. Apply online by midnight on Tuesday, 5th April (that’s two weeks from yesterday!).

In team news, whilst we were sad to see Hayley Kilgallon go, we wish her the very best with her PhD and we are delighted to introduce Lydia Redmond as our new Programmes Manager | STEP.

Lydia has been working with Social Entrepreneurs Ireland since 2019 on our Development Team and is looking forward to what this year holds for Ideas Academy and Action Lab and participants

While the world may have seemed quite dark at times lately, the SEI community never fails to shine brightly and continue to prove that when nothing is sure, everything is possible

In alumni news, the Grow Remote team have launched their new industry-led playbook to help SMEs make the transition to remote working, with practical advice and case studies from successful remote companies. You can check it out for yourself here.

SEI alumni Dabbledoo Music is celebrating its 10th anniversary this month – 10 years of making music education more accessible and engaging to parents, teachers and children across the country. We are so proud of founders Shane and Killian and the impact they have made on their journey so far-reaching over 180,000 children in that time.

SEI Awardee Liz Gleeson, the founder of Shapes of Grief, is hosting the official launch of her grief support and training programme on 31st March, and you can find the details here.

That’s it for now, but if you have a few minutes to spare we’d recommend you check out this interview with our Scale Partners, jumpAgrade about their ‘ah ha’ moment, pivoting during the pandemic, and what the future holds.
