Our Purpose
By choosing the social entrepreneurs with the highest potential, providing them with a world-class support programme, and investing significant funds into their projects, we are seeing an explosion of their impact in Ireland.
3 Social Entrepreneurs
Each year we run an intensive and competitive selection process to find the three social entrepreneurs who have the most potential to drive significant social change in Ireland.
€200,000 Investment
We provide an in-depth and tailored support programme focusing on six key areas that need to be addressed in order to maximise long term impact: Planning, Leadership, Operations, Communications, Sustainability, Resilience. We invest significant growth capital which the social entrepreneur can use to develop their projects.
2 Years of Support
We work with each social entrepreneur for between two and three years, preparing them for long-term growth and sustainability and helping them to significantly increase their impact.

Our purpose
Through the Elevator Programme, we provide much needed early-stage support for social entrepreneurs to help them to refine their ideas and boost the impact of the work they are doing.
5 Social Entrepreneurs
Each year we run an intensive and competitive selection process to find five high potential social entrepreneurs who have powerful ideas with significant potential to drive social change in Ireland.
€35,000 Investment
The Elevator Programme is designed to help the social entrepreneur to define the problem they are addressing, and refine their solution, as well as providing growth capital to help them to increase their impact.
12 Months of support
The Elevator Programme is a 12 month programme, at the end of which the social entrepreneurs become members of our alumni network and benefit from ongoing support through networking events and support workshops.

Awardee Workshops & Alumni Network Events
All Awardees will become members of the Social Entrepreneurs Ireland Alumni Network, a dynamic network of over 150 social entrepreneurs in Ireland. Awardee Workshops and Alumni Network Events will be held throughout the year. These workshops are an opportunity for Awardees to come together for one or two days to network, learn, hear “expert witness” accounts from other social entrepreneurs and guest speakers and to receive practical advice on areas such as fundraising and financing, business planning, growth strategies, marketing and PR and board management and development.
Given the level of support we provide, we expect the social entrepreneurs we support to participate fully in the Impact Programme - read all about what we expect of Awardees here.
